AT&T to roll out Android 4.0 update for Samsung Galaxy Note

AT&T and Samsung will be rolling out an Android 4.0 update to the Galaxy Note on July 10th. Yes, it seems late, especially when so much recent news is about Jelly Bean. Galaxy Note owners will still be happy to know they will be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich updates that so many others have already received and are enjoying. The improvements include features like the new multi-tasking menu and the Android Beam application allowing use of NFC features.
The "Premium Suite" moniker that Samsung is using for the update is a result of some Note specific features included in the package. Among the new features is the ability for S-Note to interpret shapes and redraw as polygons along with the ability to convert handwriting into text. S-Note is now hooked into Wolfram Alpha. Finally, a new S-Memo widget has been added.
Reports indicate performance is enhanced, as expected, compared to 2.3. However, no word on when or if Samsung will update the Note or other non-Nexus devices to Android 4.1.
